 Rumbling Bald Resort, in the mountains of Western North Carolina will once again be the site of a spectacular weekend of golf and fun from October 15th to the 17th, 2010. The 2008 and 2009 events were considered a great success so we decided to do it again!!!

The event will be hosted by the Asheville Chapter of ASGA. 

Rumbling Bald is 1 hour from Asheville, 1 hour from Greenville/Spartanburg, and 2 hours from Charlotte. Click HERE  to go to  the Directions page.


The price for the weekend (dual occupancy) is $325.00 and includes:

Two nights lodging with full kitchen, living area, and patio/deck – two bedroom units, two private bathrooms, with quad occupancy
• Two days of golf (Sat and Sun) at “A” rated golf courses, Apple Valley and Bald Mountain
• Two Breakfasts
• One dinner (Saturday) with cash bar and live band.
• One cash bar reception with light hors d'oeuvres (Friday)

• Price includes all of the above plus prizes and surprises

• Extra golf - shotgun start at Apple Valley on Friday at noon - $40.00

 

 

 

 You'll have the time of your life at Rumbling Bald Resort On Lake Lure. This world class resort has a variety of facilities that will support this outing including a large restaurant (Lakeview) area with private rooms to accommodate a reception, breakfasts, and Saturday night dinner followed by dancing. In addition there are a couple of restaurants that can handle Friday dinners for those who are interested.

All accommodations  have two bedrooms and two bathrooms and also have full kitchens and living areas so people can dine and party in the unit.

Friday, Optional Friday Golf , Apple Valley, individual tee times starting at 10:32 am

  

Saturday, 8:15 a.m. Shotgun Start, Bald Mountain - Shamble (Texas Scramble) Format:

Bald Mountain's name come from the rock faced cliffs towering over the course. This course is a true challenge in a lovely setting and is popular for golfers of all abilities. The course has a rating of 70.9 and a slope of 128.

 

Sunday, 8:15 a.m. Shotgun Start, Apple Valley - Scramble (Captain's Choice) format:

The Apple Valley course is a Dan Maples creation, and is called one of the most beautiful mountain courses around by Golf Digest’s “places to play.” Apple Valley’s length provides a number of opportunities for spectacular drives. It's after the drive where golfers need to think clearly to score well. The Course Rating is 73.2 and the Slope Rating is 140.
